Google buys Android gaming platform Green Throttle Games
Google has just confirmed their acquisition of key portions of Green Throttle Games, which is one of the many Android gaming platforms on the market. Rumors are circulating that Google made the purchase to further their plans for a TV set-top box.

According to PandoDaily, Google has just confirmed their purchasing of key components of Green Throttle Games, who are the developers of an Android gaming platform by the same name. The Android gaming system developed by Green Throttle was released early last year and seems to have wound-down in terms of sales, which made a perfect opportunity for Google to sweep in. Though Google's purchase did not incorporate the entire company, it did include most of their major assests, including parts, labor and Green Throttle's two co-founders. Google hasn't yet announced what their plans are for the Android platform but PandoDaily sources claim that Google is looking to refine the Green Throttle Bluetooth controller for their TV set-top box, which could use peripheral devices like TVs and tablets to play games or view media.
